• I’d like to run a front rack on my Pompino (a Pelago Rasket I have which is currently sitting unused). The OG fork I have isn’t drilled at the crown at the front, so I can’t mount the rack as-is. I guess the easiest option is going to be to change the fork for one which has the mount points I need? (I’m also running mudguards). What’s a good replacement canti fork with mounts and similar geo? Thanks

  • So it is drilled on reverse?

If there's space you could install a problem solvers fender flute and mount to that:

Other alternative would be to straighten the rack fork crown bracket and mount fender + bracket to a Berthoud style eyebolt mount under the crown / inside bottom of steerer like this:

Also seen people flip the rack fork crown bracket and attach through the crown and fastne to the back with the mudguards, but requires quite a bit of bending / manipulation. (Also, again relies on having enough clearance.)

  • Hey thanks for this, really appreciate the detailed reply. Yeah it’s drilled at the back only. Unfortunately I think the clearance is going to limit things, but will measure/investigate a bit more.

And thanks @hugo7 yeah maybe drilling is the answer. Definitely wouldn’t feel confident doing that myself so one for my LBS. Any concerns about loss of strength from drilling the fork here when it wasn’t designed that way?
