Cheap providers are fine as long as you:
- Expect utter bullshit upsell pitches at the desk. They will outright lie to you. Make sure you know your onions about whether you need toll transponders, what fuel option you want (always choose "return full"), what insurance you should buy from them (hopefully none), sat navs, child seats, etc etc. They may also try to sell you a larger / more expensive vehicle. Bring a print out of your booking.

Car hire from Athens airport. And car hire in general. I’d like low excess/really don’t have to worry about a thing insurance cover. And a car that can fit 4 adults comfortably for a 5 hour drive.
I’ve looked on sky scanner and stuff, but I’m unsure about the various providers/suspiciously low prices.
What do people usually do when looking for hire cars? Just trust the deal finder websites or is it worth going with enterprise or whoever for ease?
