  • Update on the mountain clogs having now gotten some more use out of them.

Walked 11 miles in them the other day and very happy with them.

The issue I was having feeling the sole was a bit hard, rubbing under the ball of my foot, sorted by wearing socks that aren't ancient and worn out! It did return a little by the end of the 11 miles, along with some fatigue/discomfort in my heels but I was walking on hard pavements and it's a good bit further than I'd normally walk (I'm off the bike after a broken thumb/ligament repair surgery so walking is only exercise I can do just now) so I'd not really expect to get away without a little suffering!

I've been adjusting the straps quite a bit, tightening them up. I think my feet must be on the narrow side of things as I remember finding they had room to squirm around in other sandals. Don't know why I'm so fussy about finding a wide toe box if I'm narrow footed! I've still got some room for further adjustment but I may need to shorten the strap you pull to tighten the clogs onto your foot as it's pretty much hitting the ground as it is. The instructions printed on the box make out like the hook bit is an adjust once and forget about it thing but it's definitely taken me a while to get it sorted.

I thought the hook for the rear strap might dig in a bit as I could feel it, but that hasn't manifested which I'm obviously happy about.

Ease of getting them on and off is great as is the feeling of the wide toe box. I had to stop a couple times on the 11 mile walk to retighten them onto my foot, not to adjust the hook bit, just the slide through 'daily use' bit but I can live with that.
