Dynamo lights?
Second hand Exposure (we are still using 2 or 3 from ebay) or one of their helmet lights with a handlebar mount (I have a Joystick and Diablo, both bought new for just over £100 each I guess)?
I just checked and the Maxx-D V3 we have, I bought used off ebay in 2014!
Same year for the 2010 V1 version of the Strada we have - but this one is commuting only, it wouldn't last a full night.

Is there a current consensus about the best bang for your back on a light that can deal with illuminating pitch black roads or bikepacking at night?
I need something that goes slightly beyond just being seen, but nothing quite as mega as the top end of the Exposure range, as I would just double up with a headtorch if this was going to be the case.
