I'm a Sporting fan, I'm pretty much 1000% certain he won't go to United and like 99% certain he won't go to United even at the end of the season. I know I'm opening myself up for ridicule here if it happens but I honestly believe this is completely false and journalists are jumping the gun based on knowledge United contacted him

Yeah, it seems unlikely. The usual journos trying kiss United's arse.

Is he the first true VAR managerial casualty?
-
• #171855
Out of interest do you think it was the same with Liverpool, was he any closer to joining them?

I dunno, I'd like to see a replay from a different angle.
-

Not the same, he wanted to join Liverpool and he said as much but they decided against it (weather the stunt to go to an interview at West Ham to force their hand had anything to do with it or not)
Speaking of, he apologised back then for trying to leave during the season at such an important time which is another thing that makes me not believe this rumour now. -

I think this highlights the differing attractions of the two jobs; Liverpool with a high quality squad and a clearly defined way of playing, or Man United with a disjointed squad and no discernible system.
If I was an up and coming manager and could choose one of these two jobs, I think it's obvious which one you'd take.

fuck knows. but he should be long gone before this particular VAR travesty

Nice try. Not biting, but no.
-
• #171861
No, you're right. Villa are a much bigger club than United, apologies. 🙄😆🙈
-
• #171862
I would also argue that I think he'd be a big risk for United, couldn't do it at the Arse so why would he be able to do it at a much bigger club? He can run the whole show at Villa, not the same deal at OT.

Big respect to Rodri for winning that gong. totally deserved.

Real Madrid refusing to go to the award ceremony because their wee lad didn’t win is hilariously childish, what a bunch of cunts.

That's the point. The owners have backed him fully. He has complete control. They have even bought into the basque club he part owns with his brother. He won't have that at utd, so why move (for less money). He won't.

The best football hissy fit in ages. Squad wide dummy spitting.

We didn't need more proof that The Fascists were the cuntiest cunts in football but here we are.

I would say that half the issue at united is that ETH did have full backing and full control (with no oversight).
They spent all the money on the dross players he wanted and never seemed to challenge him on the basics of coaching or having players in position or a functioning central midfield.

I watched El Clasico in full. So good to see them get hammered.

I've sat next - and had to listen - to many Nick Hopkins over the years.

I am in complete denial right now

Is it me or is the Ream Madrid reaction to Vinicous Junior not winning the Ballon d'or unbelievably childish and pathetic?
It's voted for by players and/or journalists right?

Journalists, selected from the top 100 ranked FIFA nations.
ETH should have been sacked ages ago. Love that it was a dodgy as fuck Danny Ings lunge that was the death of his United reign. Football is such lols
