  • Is there any software out there that just let you 'free cycle'? Essentially, I'd like to set my turbo up so I could use it for CrossFit-esque workouts.

    For example, setting the resistance to 300 watts, and when I get on and start pedaling a timer pops up that shows me things like duration and calories.

    Don't think it does calories explicitly though.

  • If you have a Wahoo, their app does that. Tacx Neos let you just jump on and they'll up resistance to some level.

    I've also programmed Computrainers to do this but I presume it unlikely you're talking about a CT unit.

    Trainerroad - can you run it in demo mode or something without subscribing?

  • I cant remember where I posted this but Garmin Connect lets you make workouts of whatever target you want, power/HR/time/distance/cadence. Its quite intuitive via their app and you can send it to a Garmin device to connect to your turbo.
