maybe a bit controversial but I've been using a Halfords own brand 'advanced' front light for years.
I use it regularly during winter commutes on unlit lanes.
it has a really good range of modes, great battery life with a really useful indicator on the top, can be used as a power bank if required, and even has an optional remote switch so can be mounted on forks or on a rack but still switched between modes.I think mine is the old 1000 lumen version.
looks like they've just refreshed the entire range.
Is there a current consensus about the best bang for your back on a light that can deal with illuminating pitch black roads or bikepacking at night?
I need something that goes slightly beyond just being seen, but nothing quite as mega as the top end of the Exposure range, as I would just double up with a headtorch if this was going to be the case.
