I've never really listened to RJ, he seems engaging. But one thing that annoys me, which I've seen a few times, is the sort of throwaway assumptions you get. The recent one that comes to mind is saying you wouldn't be able to do the black face in Tropic Thunder today. Followed by endless comments below of people repeating it as fact, yet there not even so much as a solitary Russian troll claiming they were offended.

I know a trans woman in the USA in Ohio. Fun times for her as you can imagine.

This shitfuckery of bullying women/minorities is really a disgrace. Basically male toxic minority usa christians/controlling sad men and techbros driving policy.

While ordinary reps/dems agree on a lot of issues such as the economy/big corps having too much power/healthcare corruption.

But of course, the backers of Trump are Big Money and the backers of the Dems too, in that sense nobody has a great choice.

Sometimes it makes sense, there was an article in the guardian where an area was hit by trade tariffs with China. So one women just wanted those gone, but the rest of the rep voters came across as religious fruits and nuts and gettheillegals and all the classic tropes.

I'm also surprised Rogan is having him on as he has said several times he's been hounded by the Trump team for years to have him on and wasn't willing to as he knew it would be putting his thumb on the scale and he wasn't willing to do that knowing the reach his show has.

Felt like a win win for Trump, such a soft ball interview. Probably not so for Harris.

He was wearing a blue suit and red tie at Madison Square Gardens.

Did she have the option?

Probably not. Would it be worth spending a day of campaign time on a podcast that mainly reaches people who won't vote for her?

That was my takeaway. Intuitively you feel like she should be fighting the cause on a high profile podcast, but the data on who listens to JR is probably pretty rich.

What are the possibilities?

Lots of potential downsides and unknowns in that list with few upsides.

Interesting. I just assumed she didn't because of course she'd take the opportunity if it was there.

It's a huge platform, and JR isn't going to hit her with any hard-ball question. His audience is going to be right leaning, but I'd also expect a lot of them are also just uninterested in politics or just undecided, and Trump just got in front of all of them.

Anyway, the Harris campaign knows infinitey more about this than a casual observer (me). I'm sure they made the right decision. They probably spent a few mil on focus groups to make their decision.
