Plastic wheelie bins make less noise than metal ones.

Having come here for advice after i readopted my old cat when the grandkid was discovered to be allergic. Its with a heavy heart i must report that Claymore, scourge of Alsatians and neighbourhood kids, has passed. Poor old sod had a low weight when i got him back and began to pile the beef back on. But a sudden weight loss and he stopped eating and was drooling excessively. This meant a trip to the vets and a diagnoses of kidney failure. So I'm likely haunting this feed to get my cat fix. My son helped me clear out the cats stuff last week and its surprising how much he accumulated in 6 months ish which my sister has accepted for her moggie.

Max has been at the vet since Thursday morning. The daft cunt vet injected him with paracetamol instead of sedative before his ultrasound. He's been on meds / recovering since at the hospital getting bloods throughout. He comes home tomorrow thankfully. How much of a cunt should I be to the vet? I initially was understanding about mistakes happening but it's been 3 nights now where he's probably traumatised with who knows what long terms effects.

If it were me I’d go all out. For sure, in our various vocations we all make mistakes every now and then. But arguably not when a beloved pet’s life is at stake.

If you choose to train to become a vet/doctor/surgeon etc. where a life will literally be in your hands it is not acceptable to make those kind of errors without some proper repercussions.

Yeah my mistakes at work don't tend to kill anyone. I'm just worried it'd be held against the poor guy if it's a process / practice issue. I'm getting angrier thinking about it having a few days to let it simmer.

It shouldn’t be held against him, but a mistake like that should become an opportunity for training and learning in an effort that nothing like it (or worse) happens again.

If you did report it and have the practice take it seriously, tell them how unhappy you are and that you want a review with a report, and it ended up being held against him - that’s really not your fault.

Ask yourself how you’d feel if 6 months from now you found out someone’s pet died because he’d cocked up?
