Ha yeah that was me on my knackered old brompton. You were going the speed of light and I was also late so figured you were running late too.
Looking forward to the 40mph wind and rain in the face on the way home 😬

I got a rare clear run of the valley gardens traffic lights so made it with a couple of minutes to spare. I think its going to be hard work for the rest of the week now. I know the current tag but not sufficiently motivated to make the detour to pick it up.

Just had this recommend could be worth looking at for the e-cargo after the close call the other week

Her's already comes with a GPS tag as standard so I'd hope the police might (ha!) do something about it if it was stolen. Otherwise we've beefed up her locks and added alarmed motorcycle disc locks. I know no one really cares about car/house/motorcycle alarms going of but at least it's something.
And Bikmo insurance...

The fuckheads have been targeting Sea Lanes again Not even beaters are safe if they're not getting stolen they're getting smashed up

Speaking of Sea Lanes, they recently sent round a survey on how people travel to them:
Just in case anyone here didn't get it, lets bump up the bike numbers and maybe they'll employ a security guard just for the bike parking

Done 👍 the lack of secure bike parking is a big barrier for me joining

Fuck these people honestly. It is mad how they are running around as they please while the police is just sitting on their hands. We are supposed to pay the police like 10% more every year through council tax but we get less protection every year.
Light work can be made of these thiefs with a sting or just actually using the hundreds of cctv cameras in the city to track them.
edit: also what is in the sea lanes that is attracting these people? it is not near a no-barrier train station, it is a bit a ways away from the main bit. this is scouted and targeted because they've seen more expensive bikes there I reckon.

Maybe its a quick and easy run into the marina car park to dump the bike in a van? Plus that corner in the photo isn't particularly overlooked and there's a density of half decent bikes

And another. Blue Roberts SS, large frame. Stolen from Preston St. of anyone spots it.

Racist Riots planned for tomorrow in town. Clock tower/Queens road start apparently around 7pm but I wouldn't trust those thick Cunts timekeeping so I'd probably avoid Town from 5pm
-
• #965
yeah, I've floated the question of whether the Porteur ride still takes place. And I can't decide whether counterprotesting on a bike works or not
-
• #966
The police have insisted they're onto it and they did a pretty good job containing the Roma fans when that started kicking off opposite the i360. I'm hoping if North and West st, Western and Queens Rd are avoided the rest of town should be unaffected🤞 I was planning to detour via New England st, Seven Dials,Davigdor road on my ride over to give it a wide swerve.

Has Brighton disapeared for anyone else? Direct URL works but I can't see any comments from the Brighton threads in my user profile.
Anyone else?

Interesting, I didn't know that was there. Where does it emerge? Does it just go straight through the station?
Good to see that it comes with a Tardis. :)

We weren't allowed beyond a certain point. I think I read that it extends for 80 metres.
In over 30 years in Brighton, I've never seen that big entranceway open. I'll go back tomorrow and Sunday.

Please report back. I tried looking at StreetView to work it out, but the street behind the station is a 'private road', i.e. a pseudo-public space and Google didn't drive into it.
@Dogtemple on a fold up by the marina this morning? Couldn't slow down to chat as I was running late so had to thump it. I did hear someone shout so I waved back but couldn't hear if they were shouting hey Nick or oi you fucking chopper 😕
