Brakes don’t upset me as much as the fishing hook pump peg and the “I blew all the budget on other stuff” seatpost.

i went into an evans a while back and had a look at one.
the spec is rubbish on them now. top spec one is sora with spyres.

I count 34T on the inner and the outer is a 50T.

I like it a lot, even if I wouldn't choose rim brakes for a bike for me.

What is it you like about it?

Novice / Fun Race. I'm not serious enough (about anything for that matter) for seniors.

I like the proportions. To me it also looks timeless and purpose-built in way that no trek or crux does.
I like that it finished with linseed oil paints, and I look forward to see how this finish ages (not the same stuff that Hulsroy has used previously).
And the first time I saw Tore’s mixte (that I posted in the functional thread) it took my breath away as any well made, cared for object of can. That probably doesn’t show too well in photos

Colour-matched stem cap?

Not as such. It’s a pink Chris King one.
I’ve a Burgtec spacers and cap in Bronze that I could put on here.
The stock spacers don’t fill me with confidence on both but not sure why spacers need to be so heavily branded… so I’ve been reluctant to put them on.

I ride a Giant and can't stop flexing because of the d-fuse seatpost.

It's an integrated posterior compliance system, not flex...
