Your argument was a thoroughly bizarre 'what if' fallacy.
I've watched the video. The police were trying to stop him and he failed to comply, before aggressively maneuvering his vehicle in a way that put officers' lives at risk. You are somehow pinning the blame on the officer for standing in the way of a criminal who is trying to get away!
Do you believe that people should stop for the police, who have clearly identified themselves?
He had a chance to stop, he didn't because he's a hitman for a well-known gang who had recently carried out an attempted execution. Logic would say that he would do anything to get away (including running over plod).

Your premise is the guy having guns pointed at him was trying to attack people with his car rather than trying to get away. Watch the video, it's on every news site, they actively walk in front of his car
