That stem ๐ณ
Given that it's obviously custom made, it's a severe oversight to have left out the strut

non-stop endos
That's what the trailer is there to prevent

This is adding to the list of questions, such as โis that fork on backwards too?โ

I like long stems but I think 500mm is too much even for me

Please, we need more information. You can't just ghost us like this.

I must know more. It reminds me of this piece from a few years ago: https://www.bikeradar.com/news/longest-bike-stem
Share more details and I'll make you BR infamous.

Purchasable at:
They seem to be well made. I figured if it wasn't for me I could just take it to Enigma or someone and get it turned into two stems.
Wanted the position because normally climbing in the drops isn't comfortable (but with more reach it is). The stem I believe is either 0 or 7 degrees (I am not sure which) but with the amount of rise it's actually not too much drop (and therefore v comfortable, also note braking with just front brake means you want to have more room to lean forward on descents).
Did HDiJ last year on the setup above and was totally fine.
Happy riding all.

Can confirm, that stem appears to work really well, even at the end of a long day's ride up hard climbs.

What length is it? 300mm?
I've been tempted by one for my track bike. Cheaper than a longboi
-

250mm, pm ed as I have spare

Here's my new winter whip, which replaces my Steamroller for drop bar duties. The Steamroller is a great bike, but its geometry isn't great with drop bars for my saddle height. The frameset is a slightly knackered Temple something something that I bought for ยฃ90 at their recent yard sale. More details here.

Gold chain really brings it together quite nicely ๐๐ผ
Your souplesse must be next level to make 48:21 work!

I love those gold KMC chains โ so extra!
Is 48:21 especially spinny? I say with genuine ignorance as I don't ride often with other fixed fools. I can't imagine chipping about on a taller gear where we live (Bristol).

Horses for courses and all that but that's a little lower than I tend to see. I'm usually at the lower end of any group with 47:19.

I've had both 48/47 with a 19t gear ratio and loved it. Not gonna take too much to get on top of it but as long as you're feeling good who cares about top speed

Sounds pretty spinny for going down Park St, Constitution Hill etc!

It may be a big stem but we truly live in a small world.

Iโm pining for simpler times.
I thought that at first!!
