Thanks! That's what I did down at the chainstays. I guess what I'm wondering is, could I do the same going across the top of the mudguard (where the hole is in your picture), rather than at the sides?

Good intel
Bought 650b to re radius (slightly) for 26 x 2.25 / 2.3, so good to know theres hope

Likely doable, I think GB recommends max 2,3β for 60mm, as the profile is relatively flat compared to 50mm. Fitting anything wider than 40mm, particularly something with knobs or spikes was challenging.

Currently running Billy Bonkers @ 2.25 so not too worried there.
Related, I am (probably wrongly) remembering an online resource that showed actual tyre profiles 1:1. Anyone know what this is? If it doesn't exist β somebody* should probably do this.

Ah, that's an interesting idea. So use a former above and a former below and clamp them together to flatten out the guard? That sounds doable.
Thanks! I'll give that a go.

Yes, excactly!
Or you could strap a bag of sand/salt/sugar and gently hammer a wooden former on the outside.
Lots of ways to go about it. -

Excellent, thank you! Even easier.

Firm believer that every rim and tyre manufacturer should be legally required to issue one of these for each variant of every product

Can I ask what colour that is? Is it a RAL?

Why do you want to bridge that gap?
Although mine is mounted because the rack is right on top the guard.

It's painted in Base Pearlz Coconut (great name): https://www.specialistpaints.com/products/base-pearlz
@Bossman β the front of the guard twangs more than a toddler with a ukelele when riding over cobbles or rough tracks. I'd usually add an extra stay (example below) but bracing it against the rack is a bit easier.

Late to the party, but wouldnβt a Chicago screw work?
-
• #5965
Damn, yes β that would have been perfect. And much easier to find!

Excellent bike.
What is the headset?

Anybody ever fitted mudguards to a Cube Attain Race?
I cannot find any details on the Cube online help pages.
Mounting points are visible at both drop outs
but are normal to the expected, typical orientation.

this could perhaps work: https://www.candncycles.co.uk/product/2856/trek-trek-hidden-fender-mount-kit/option/

I recommend that style in steel over something like these.
The alloy ones have a tendency to snap. Had mine go on km 48 of a 2000km audax...

That is very good of you.
Your search skills are clearly much more honed than mine.
The forum delivers again.
Thanks! Actually long 700cx60 but reradiused for 650b making them 67mm wide. Those are 2,2β Conti Racekings, but I have also used Schwalbe Ice Spiker Pro 2,25β in winter.
