Top of the league after ten games (albeit with Sunderland still to play tomorrow) but we've not looked particularly good in a lot of matches.
Clean sheets get you points though.
Also had a midfield with three central midfielders called Josh today.

Have Arsenal nailed it on yet?

I turned my phone off yesterday so I could enjoy an outing to the zoo without being stuck looking for the score.
Very glad I did, apparently we were awful.
It's definitely the hope that kills you, I thought we could have got 4-6 points off the last two games, but instead we look like we're heading down already.

there was a clear handball, on the line, in the Spurs match which the referee ignored and the VAR team didn’t get involved. Why not?
It was leathered at him from a few yards and the hand was in a natural position in front of his body. VAR apparently had a look, but that's never getting given, even in the weird world of current VAR decisions.

Not watched Wolves this season, but based on today they really don't look like the second worst team in the league.

darn it

They’ll be fine, imho. Have had a really rough run of games and can’t seem to see out games but they’ve got good players all over the pitch. Given themselves quite the job, mind.

Identical incident in the Liverpool Vs Chelsea game to the one that resulted in a red card for Saliba yesterday. Today, not given.

Wasn't identical. The ball was going away from goal and there was a closer covering defender. Correct yellow.
Thought Chelsea did ok at Liverpool today. Progression from last seasons drubbing

My understanding was that VAR didn’t even look at it. Happy to be corrected though, and I agree it shouldn’t have been a penalty.

That covering defender is still 5 yards behind the play.

The coving defender was closer, the ball was going towards the corner. So it was different to Arsenals Red.
I was surprised the Arsenal red was upgraded by VAR. But can see why -

On the stream I was watching (with McCoist), the commentator said 'they are sticking with the on-field decision', which seemed to imply they'd had a look.

Chris Wood is beast. 16 goals in 24 games since Nuno took over.
-
• #171716
He’s in “do I swap him in for haaland?” territory.

8 games in might be too soon, however:

I'd replace "Derby Fans" with "Robbie Savage".
-
• #171719
Is he getting excited on 606?
-

TBF, Macclesfield FC are off to a flyer.

Don’t take our record away

Savage is very tiny, only the size of about 3 Derby fans.

The sporting financial entity that I take a passing interest in the results of managed to quadruple their points last weekend. 1 point from 9 games was looking dire, 4 points from 10 only slightly less so. Almost certainly going down but the dizzying heights of League One is just too high for "us" right now.
606 is often painful to listen to, but the goading that Savage gets is sometimes funny. Lots of "Weren't you the captain of the team that got the lowest ever PL points total?", etc.
My favourite is when he bites and asks the caller "Have you ever played in the Premier League?" or "Have you ever played the game professionally?" and then caller says "No, did you?". Anyway.

I don’t know what colour spectacles you must have been wearing to see those situations as the same.

Absolutely no way was that clear. It’s fucked up.
I don’t support either team, but there was a clear handball, on the line, in the Spurs match which the referee ignored and the VAR team didn’t get involved. Why not?
