Today I was talking about the insoles of my trainers, I was fucked if I could remember the term "memory foam". Cue Alanis Morrisette.
-
• #3353
What does foam have to do with having one hand in your pocket?
-
• #3354
Is the pocket full of ten thousand Wetherspoons?

He must be referring to 'You Oughta Know'.
(I had to look her up to make this little joke, as I genuinely couldn't remember a single thing she's done. I always used to switch off the radio when any of it came on. No apologies.)

Now that is ironic.

Pulled a muscle in my back/shoulders while reaching into the passenger footwell for an Iggy Pop CD while driving at the weekend. Still can’t turn my head properly. I feel like I’m in my 70s.

Search (for a cd) and Destroy (your back/shoulders)

Serves you right, only The Passenger should be reaching for things in a moving vehicle.

I had to rush my elderly dad to the hospital last night, he was certain he was having a heart attack. I was certain he'd pulled a muscle as he'd been mowing the lawn earlier in the day very much against our wishes.
I was confident because I've pulled that exact muscle (the one under your tit) many, many times. First time it happened in Memphis, went to the ER at the Baptist Memorial, they put me in the room that Elvis got taken to when he carked it (allegedly) and reckoned I had an infection in the lining of my lungs. Cost the insurance a few thousand bucks and made us miss Jazzfest in NOLA.
Same thing happened in London a few weeks later, oh, how my GP laughed at his Murican counterparts. #csb

Jeez man, hope your old man is alright ❤️
That sounds stressful! -

If you live a safe and peaceful life, you have to be innovative in how to give yourself danger. I mean, you don't want to play it safe.
-
• #3371
No heart attack, just a pulled muscle thankfully. But I knew that! 🙌

how my GP laughed at his Murican counterparts
how the Murican doctors laughed at the insurance company...

Absolutely true, so long as you leave room on the monument for the current batch. Thatcher was vile, I enjoyed the piss-up and curry the day she died, but she would be considered a dangerous leftie by Truss/Patel/Badenoch/Rees fucking Mogg et al.
Fucking Thatcher opened the portal to the Lovecraftian nightmare dimension all these slavering ghouls oozed out of. The filth currently draining all our souls were summoned by her dark incantations.
Should've burned the fucking witch the moment she showed you who she was.

Any suggestions for all the aches and pains as I approach my mid-40s? My knees, lower back and shoulders are all on-and-off fucked; if it’s not one it’s the other. This is partly due to lumping kids about, and doing a pretty physical job that involves sporadic lifting of really heavy things. Neither of those are going to change any time soon, so I’m wondering what I can do to alleviate the pain in the meantime. Yoga, Pilates, swimming? All of which I’ve been interested in doing more but cannot find the time between work and family. But if I was convinced one of those things was going to make a noticeable difference I would crowbar some time into my week.
Do I see a doctor??
I’ve also never tried pain relief.
KOT guy does a lot of similar stuff to what a physio prescribed me, so think it's relatively safe
