The frame is made from 531st - a slightly stiffer variant of 531. 1st generation Randonneur was made of 531st, later they moved to 708.For retro lovers here is alink to Raleigh catalogue with details of this frame

Selling my workhorse, as I have moved to an electric. This is perfect as a commuter and has full mudguards for winter. A strong frame and bombproof wheels. The frame will take up to 32 with mudguards.
The whole thing is £180.

I bought this frame a couple of years ago from the forum member and built it up. Bottom bracket and headset were replaced with new ones at that point. If you are into retro, some additional information on the frame at the bottom of the post, but otherwise:
Frame: Raleigh type 8807 full 531ST. (More information further down). Colour is "champagne with bronze"!
Size: 58cm C-T-C
Wheels: Rear 36H Mavic A719 on Tiagra hub (custom built by SJS cycles), Front - something on Deore XT hub
Tyres: Panaracer Pasela 28
Gears: 2x8 Shimano 600 (6402 - ultegra in today's nomenclature)
Brakes Shimano BR-CX50
Saddle: Selle Anatomica X
Stem/Bars - Cinelli (bars are 42cm, stem is 10cm)
Pedals: Shimano PD-EH500 - dual sided flat/SPD (pretty handy!)
