Yes, the other fire safety problems that can exist have taken a bit of a back seat since Grenfell. Although the Grenfell problem seems to be the worst, there are definitely other things that firefighters have had to contend with for a long time.

This is horrible on every level.

You always think of Grenfell, but then you see that it's an unclad block and breathe a small sigh of relief, even if it destroys several flats, because Grenfell was so much worse.

... and another cause of fire:
A large fire broke out at a school in Enfield after a group of young people fired fireworks at the building.
Also, the Met have apparently re-christened Bonfire Night as Fireworks Night, which I suppose is fairly accurate in most places outside Lewes:
The Met Police confirmed that additional officers will be on patrols in the evening around Halloween and Fireworks night and “robustly dealing with any misuse or underage possession or selling of fireworks”.

This is interesting:
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) has announced that, from Tuesday, firefighters will no longer attend automatic alarms in most non-residential buildings - unless they are told a fire is definitely happening.
The change - which will affect properties like office blocks and industrial estates - is being brought in to save the fire service valuable time, as the LFB says that less than one per cent of automatic alarms are triggered by genuine fires.

The building in Dagenham that burnt in August is being demolished, without giving the residents a chance to retrieve their belongings:
One resident from the block of flats was left surprised at the news the building was being demolished and heartbroken that she would never be able to retrieve any of her belongings.
Irina Vasile who lived on the building’s second floor, said the demolition had taken her by surprise.
The 46-year-old said: “It’s heartbreaking, because [I] wasn’t expecting it to be demolished.
“All of us, we still had hope that we can retrieve some belongings, especially some documents.”
Yes but it’s not been effectively compartmentalised and has gone up a floor despite being concrete, those spandrel panels and what’s behind them are the likely culprit.
There should be fire stopping/intumescent insulation fitted behind them.
