Frame and fork protection for a gravel bike?

  • Can anyone recommend some frame and fork protection for a gravel bike?

There are a lot of options out there, so I’m looking for some sort of film/patches that don’t look obvious and will help protect the paint against scrapes and scratches. Thanks!

  • Helicopter tape

  • Thanks, had a look but looking for something more subtle ideally.

  • Decathlon do a transparent mountain bike protection tape.

  • An invisiframe kit.
Once it’s fitted you’ll hardly notice it, as long as it’s done well.
    Not cheap though.

  • Yeah agreed, but probably best to get it installed by someone with experience of doing it.

  • Or go the other way - make it look obvious, after all it is there for a protection not for a beauty contest, this way you can really add some proper protection, have seen too many so called frame savers that are properly shite. I used some heavy duty 3M stuff we used as a wrap on a Jeep cars back in the days I worked for a brand. Ti frame is another option, no worry of damage to paint 😀

  • Thanks Andy and grm, I think this is the route I’ll be taking 👍🏼
