If it’s like most bracelets you will need a very narrow spring bar tool. If you can’t get it, find a technical screwdriver that’s as narrow as the gap and either use it as-is or cut a V into it with a file.
Normally without a special tool to pinch both sides, you’ll scratch your inner lug trying to wiggle the bracelet end down, and make space for the bar to release diagonally.
I've a Hamilton Khaki Field Expedition on the bracelet. I'd like to be able to swap the bracelet out for a strap from time to time, but finding it impossible to get any purchase on the spring bars with a normal tool. The gap is quite small, it's at a difficult angle and I can't seem to get the tool to grip on the spring bar. Is there a tool people would recommend? It tried tweezers but no luck.
