Terrible; his wife was recently diagnose with MS as well. Two young kids too. Just horrible.

Supposedly Pidcock's transfer has hit the rocks. Supposedly Ineos couldn't find an "acceptable replacement" for him and decided the idea of the team being worse whilst paying Q36.5 a large part of Pidcock's salary was a bit much for them.

Horrible, horrible news. Particularly jarring after watching him for the past few evenings.

That's quite a shock

Sad news, not just an extraordinary athlete, but also a really nice person - always had time to talk to anyone that approached him.

I'm fortunate to have met quite a few cyclists and sports people through my line of work and Chris is by far and away the nicest bloke I've come across. It's really sad news for his family and friends.

I met Chris about 10 years ago at City airport, I just went over to say hello and we ended up talking about the 2012 Olympics where I volunteered at the ceremonies and he obviously did amazing things. He was genuinely interested about my experience and kept asking questions, think I only managed to ask him one or two things! Genuinely lovely guy and his positivity in light of what he's facing is astonishing.
