You can turn the lane assist off, but it resets whenever the car is locked, which is really fucking annoying. I hate it, I think it's dangerous as suddenly it'll change direction without warning bar the steering wheel moving. I was driving on a motorway when a car cut across me really closely as he moved into the lane ahead of me and it took me sharply to the left and we very nearly hit a car on the inside that I was over taking.
I don't do much motorway driving (I don't do much driving at all really) but I always ensure we've turned it off before we drive on one.
The emergency braking thing is a mild irritant in contrast.

How do you cope with the apparently never ending issue of lane keep assist and unexpected emergency braking? Or is it not really a thing?
