well i've decided to go to a heavier more puncture resistant tyre on the front for a month or two to counteract the thorns. extra 300g weight on the front wheel will mean a bit heavier handling but less punctures. switch back to the lighter foldables in december or once the back roads clean up a bit.
i'll never go tubeless, i'll happily fix a hundred punctures before choosing to spray a tub of gunk that ends up all over everything into the rim. it's just never appealed to me and all i ever hear is nightmare stories about tubeless. also i don't really ever run tubes at low pressure. i'm a pump them up to 3 bar and just live with the slight extra harshness.
