Reported range is bullshit from all manufacturers. I would usually assume anywhere from 70-85% of range is more realistic.
There’s no way an £80k estate car (more when you add a few of the bells and whistles) should only be available with a 75kWh pack. It should really be in the 90s.
Apparently the rumors are that they’re discontinuing the 40e in favor of a 50e in early Jan which would have a larger pack size and more likely to get closer to 300mile range.
Having said all that, the amount of times you really need that range is minimal so it’s probably fine.

I have an i4 (silly M50 version) with a stated range of 315 miles, did a 260mile round trip in the summer with 10% of the battery remaining so it was probably giving about 285-290 miles range total. That was sat on cruise at 70 most of the time and on Eco Pro mode. I wouldn’t touch the first gen E-Tron 50 given what’s available nowadays, I had one as a company car previously and in ideal conditions it might just about manage 160 miles, but indicated more like 110 in the winter.
@soul Cheers, the range thing is a bit murky right? There's a stated figure and then anecdotal real world figure that people moan about on forums... So the i5 is 295 miles on the books which sounds reasonable so what's that, 230 IRL?
I was looking at second hand Audi E-tron but the range is way worse than that!
