Not that I am in a position to do this in anyway, but can you get marble/granite/solid worktop apertures adjusted to fit these flush mount hobs?

There's a charcoal filter at the extraction point and then it blows down the back of the cabinet and exits below the two cabinets to the right, so it isn't blowing on your feet when you stand in front of it.
Our kitchen is combined with the living room and a total of 65sqm, so moisture is not an issue, but it could be in a smaller space.

Ours is indeed on an island. It is a bit noiser than I had hoped, but the extraction is pretty good - even including spatter and aerosolized particles.
