• For anyone choosing induction hobs, I really think it’s all about usability & responsiveness of the controls.

Yeah, I fucking hate touch screen buttons with no responsiveness, size and usability were the main things for us. The magnetic dial on the neff is a real joy to use, all the benefits of physical buttons with the ease of cleaning a touch screen model.

  • That does seem like a great idea. Presume you have to select the burner before adjustment though. Direct control for each zone was another must for me, but it might not actually be a big deal in reality.

  • seconded for the dial. Will never go back to touch screen controls on a cooker now.

I got mine for £200 off FB marketplace. Worth about £1000 new so I am made up even if it isn't flush mount...

  • Presume you have to select the burner before adjustment though.

Yeah, you just push the dial down in the direction of the zone (like a d pad on a game controller) and it selects the zone. It's very user friendly, I've never had to alter more than one hob/burner at exactly the same time before so not sure what the advantage would be?

It auto detects when you first put a pan on and zones automatically link if your pot extends out into a new zone so everything always gets consistent temp (not sure how common these functions are but this does it very nicely)
