kids = i must buy an SUV.

Puzzled, I had a Renault 5 Turbo until my daughter was 4ish. We managed France holidays in it. Same daughter now has a daughter, the pram is about 3x the size that we had. The cars seat is twice the size. She has so much more stuff then we ever had.

What you did was child cruelty, while my folks transporting us in a marina was beyond that kind of child hate.

Our family holidays, I was one of three kids, were taken to in an A35 van. Albeit with windows and a bench seat built in.
