Won't someone think of the fenders?
As always, the problems are the economic conditions for hauliers and the lack of precautionary enforcement. I think pre-EU there often used to be driving licence controls at European borders, but I can't find anything at the moment corroborating that, so it may be bollocks. Certainly recently, e.g. during the European Football Championships, there were additional controls, which may have included checking driving licences.
If you drive an LGV all the way across Europe, e.g. from Germany to Italy, especially as a lone driver, it's very likely that you'll be tired because of the distance.
Even when they are people just drive unlicensed.
Crush all their vehicles with the drivers in them. No repeat offenders.
