Wasn't he the first manager to not win anything with Bayern Munich in 20 years or something?

Sounds like a rush appointment to me, they wanted someone in before it turned into a long running drama.

He won the league there in his first year didn't he? It's possible he wasn't there for the whole year though if that makes a difference.
