Anyone here have a Fuji X-H2 or H2S? Primarily interested to hear from anyone who uses one to shoot video please.

I think ive got an external charger for a D50. I think it's the same battery if you want it?

One has been located, thanks

This is now charged, turns on, but won't take a picture. Any idea?

Needs a new battery for the clock (not the big rechargeable battery) it usually under a small screw down cover.
Or it just needs the time/date set -

Anyone take their camera in hand luggage as opposed to suit case? Guessing it's all fine through security? Bit worried about it getting lost in suitcase...

Anyone take their camera in hand luggage...
Always hand luggage and absolutely fine

Haven't travelled for a few years but I would never check camera equipment.
To be honest I never checked anything except liquor when I vacated. -

Nice, thanks. 👍

I've got an H2S, use it for the odd bit of video, what do you want to know?
-
• #4014
Whether it can produce broadcast quality footage with the XF lenses, I guess. To be honest I've kind of already talked myself out of the H2S.
I have an Xt3 and lots of glass and need to film some stuff for social media so was looking at OIS upgrades because the final product needs to be HD and slick. So I went down the gimbal rabbit hole and Fuji doesn't get much love compared to the Sony a7 etc.
I'm thinking of hiring a few different systems (Blackmagic 6K, Sony or Panasonic) with all the gubbins to see if something intuitively stands out. -

Always on-person. If you’re worried about losing hand-luggage space, wear it.
Wear the camera and make sure you shove all your lenses in pockets on your person like a journo.

You just need this then:
https://www.wexphotovideo.com/fujinon-mk-50-135mm-t2-9-cinema-zoom-lens-fuji-x-mount-1653608/New Dji mini 3 gimbal is great btw.
Though my friend has an FX30. He used to shoot video on the HS2 but Fuji annoyingly won’t release the gyro stabilising data, so you have to use a gimbal. Whereas the Sony has a higher native iso and the gyro data so even in low light event where we work he can shoot handheld if needed. And he’s found a plugin to grade the footage to look like Fuji. Which is great. I moved from Sony to Fuji cause Sony stills colour is dogshit.

Sony stills colour is dogshit.
It really is. But somehow I haven’t replaced my A6000 after 6(?) years.

I fought with it for a year and after the third client complained about colour in a week I sold everything and moved to fuji. Which was great, cause thanks to Sony's overpriced lenses I was able to swap everything like for like to Fuji x mount, and netted £2k! Which I put towards a GFX setup.

100% don't blame you. Since I gave up doing anything that involved clients, I just shoot the Sony if I can be bothered to carry it. I found it a good platform for all the
shitcheap Chinese lenses (7Artisan/TTArtisan/Neewer etc) as they give me all the aberration I liked on Leica way back when those lenses were affordable. -

How does the PA manage then if they only use Sony cameras?
-
• #4021
Because they are told to, quite possibly Sony have a deal with them.
They manage, sure. They aren’t bad cameras. But I didn’t get on with them after the novelty of the fantastic tech (they are still best at af) wore off.
-

They do have a deal. But "Sony's stills colour is dogshit" seems at odds with them being used by the largest agency in the country where, presumably, there is client pressure too? Genuine question, I haven't spoken to any PA photographers so maybe they are all secretly fuming.

Handluggage only.

I've got to shoot a wedding for friends next month. I'm not a professional photographer nor are they paying me a professional photographers fee so whilst I'm guessing that they aren't expecting premium images, id still like to do a good job. I've got a canon 6d with the 24-105 L and a 50mm 1.4. the 50mm is a bit soft and misses on autofocus quite a lot. It's a bit of a dud one as I've had the same lens before which was sharp and spot on.
I've also got a Fuji XT20 with the 27mm pancake and a small zoom lens, I forget which one. They like the filmy images I've taken with this.
My thinking is that the Fuji is a little small, whether or not it's fine for the job, big camera says "listen to my direction, I know what I'm doing" and the bigger files and low light performance of the canon would be better.
I'll take both but wondering what equipment I could need to do a better job. Thinking of maybe trying to get another 50 1.4 and hoping it's a better example or maybe a longer prime. Would I be better off just getting a prime for the fuji and doing the whole thing a bit more incognito? I'll also pick up a flash for the Fuji for the evening do I think -

Could also upgrade to xt3 or xtpro2/3 I suppose
Got given this but don't know if it works. Thought I might give it to my daughter to play around with and stop her borrowing mine.
Anyone got a power cable that would enable it to be charged?
Can I get a bigger than 1mb card?
Will it be any good?
EDIT: largely resolved
