Where online can i get some camera phone pics printed to a better quality than the normal high street printers? Pixel phone, image quality isn't exceptional, only 5-10 photos so happy to pay a bit more.

I've used both freeprints for basic and theprintspace for bigger/highres and been happy with both

What’s the best way to cast YouTube etc to a non-smart TV from an iPhone if you haven’t got a wifi connection? I can’t get the Chromecast to do it.
-
• #123934
Whatever is streamed goes direct through the Chromecast so it's reliant on wi-fi. The phone just controls things.
I haven't tried this, but wonder if it's possible to set up a wi-fi hotspot on the phone and connect the Chromecast to that.

It fails at the end. It basically says your iPhone isn’t connected to the same wifi as the Chromecast (which is right, it technically isn’t) and it won’t let you complete the setup.
There’s a guest mode on the Chromecast, according to the internet, but I can’t get it to communicate with my iPhone.
I wondered if there’s a kind of dodge I can do by using a router to make a wifi network but use the phone’s internet connection.

Any other phone or tablet that you could connect to the same hotspot as the Chromecast?

Apparently we have to go to other planets to find somewhere to live. But we could never get to another solar system. It's an 80,000 year journey to the closest one. So unless we can travel faster than light or pop through a wormhole, neither of which will ever be possible, we're stuck in our own solar system. And none of the other planets has an atmosphere we could survive in or the right amount of gravity. The best we could hope for is to live in a spinning space station in orbit somewhere. And we could do that in Earth's atmosphere. So why are we trying to get to Mars?

Dick waving contest.

I don't trust Elon. But even that nice man Prof Brian Cox says we need to go.

Apparently we have to go to other planets to find somewhere to live
Or we could just die, like any normal species. The idea that we are so special that we must survive is arrogant, conceited and hubristic.
-
• #123941
Cox is wrong.
-
• #123942
So why are we trying to get to Mars?
To see if we can? Because it’s a challenge? Because no one has ever done it before?
-
• #123943
Yeah, I suspect Cox and Musk have very different motivations for getting to Mars
-
• #123944
Not sure anyone's claiming we're special enough that we must survive. We're just the only species we're aware of that's able to consider it
Considering it is just a function of being able to consider it -
• #123945
Get your ass to Mars

• #123946
Being arrogant, conceited and hubristic - and having the the ambition for continual betterment as a result - is what sets man apart from the rest of the animal kingdom. It underpins our evolutionary success as a species.
For the record: Musk is a cunt (Teslas are shit) and this is all just wealthy posturing.
-
• #123947
continual betterment
...through war, slavery and oppression right?
-
• #123948
Not sure anyone's claiming we're special enough that we must survive.
This isn’t an aggressive response, but Musk has nearly literally claimed this. Google his bullshit about the light of consciousness. Whether he’d accept an artificial intelligence or only a biological one is unclear.

• #123949
Not all of it, no.
My point was more, don't expect man to suddenly change its ways.

What was that 90s band?
- quintessential soundtrack to this life
- sort of electronic and ery
- Sort of light rapping of lyrics with female vocals
- I want to say they began with an "M" or had a famous song with an M.
Having an absolute mental blank on this.
- quintessential soundtrack to this life
Amazing. I had no idea that they sell replacements.
