Much of that article seems to be written by people who don’t understand the application. Foam is used on basement walls and in walls above grade. It would only be used in attics where there is air movement.
We have a drier, colder climate. Foam makes a noticeable difference in dampness in basements and heat retention in the house.
What is the problem with spray foam?
It’s pretty common in Canada.
It started in basements and is now being used on above grade exterior walls.
