This is always my mindset and is the one thing holding me back. But I've been a forced early adopter and employee at companies known for releasing trash/buggy products/software all the time - it became my life.

I went into the brompton shop to borrow a hex key to fix a rubby mudguard on my normal commuter (the mechanics were not impressed but gave me one anyway, thanks!) and I saw some G-lines IRL. They are big. Sounds dumb but the internet makes them seem small. The package is not small. A folded g-line is not your diminutive 16' brompton.

Not readily, unless you’re a giant or user Hippy.

Those extra few kg over a larger volume make it considerably more unwieldy as a folded package. Still easier to travel with than a normal sized bike, but not Brompton-convenient.

I almost never fold my brompton unless I have to, always roll it dismounted.

I still think G line is best of all 20" mainly because of the Brompton fold.

I really want to test ride one.

I guess the difference is that while normally you pay a decent premium for The Fold™, it is also a really compact package with no competition.

With the gline you're being asked to pay an extortionate premium for the fold when there are lots of viable competitors. The cheap Tern Links are <£500 and Idk how much the disc or electric ones are, but they're not £2,500.

G-Line looks great. Get the white one! It's designed to be rolled around instead of picked up (wayy too hefty) so the rack and roller wheels are really stable.

You know me. If I can lift it, lift it I shall.

I like all the colours, but the 'white' is my least preferable.

Saw one of these as I rode through Battersea park this afternoon. Not sure how I feel about it, but….. titanium and 24” wheels, and you can use normal bike bits on it, so you can upgrade however you want.. did I mention it’s titanium!

Anyone taken their Brompton on the Eurostar and then onward French rail network? What’s the deal? I’m guessing a case is required for the Eurostar?

You can still bring a folding bike, folding electric bike, or children's bike on board as long as it's no longer than 85 cm in length and it's carried in a protective bag that covers the whole bike. This is to protect your bike, other people and their luggage both at the station, on board and going through security

I am sure on the Eurostar thread some have taken an 'dimpa' bag and this has sufficed, but this means you still have to carry it...

A dimpa bag folds up small enough to fit into a stem snack bag, which is handy.

put the dimpa bag over the top unzipped and roll it all the time you can. beware at kings x only the big x ray machines can take bromptons...

I made a thin rip stop zippered bag that envelopes the bike and rolls up to fit easily in the frame. Works a trick!

I've got the original, old Brompton cover. The feet/wheels are nicely exposed. I rarely use the thing now.
