I'm not using a tape measure but I'm definitely getting smaller. That favourite moth-bitten hoody that had got skintight is now comfortable and I can wear it out of the house! But it seems I've still got a long way to go.

Keep at it Joe!
I'm loving the clothes actually fitting again thing. Swaggering about in denim that has been on the "i'll never fit in that again" pile. Good vibes.

82.6 for me this week, so a more steady 600g, had a couple of ropey days over the weekend, and have a dinner thing tonight, but got up at 6 so I could do a workout before the kids woke up…
Measurements
Chest 101
Waist 87
Hips 92Still not fitting in my short term goal shirt, stomach is fine, chest is almost ok but arms are frustratingly tight, but hopefully in another couple of weeks it’ll all be there.

10 day all inclusive holiday has been fun but need to get back at it from tomorrow! Lots of travel for the remainder of the year and then into Xmas so need to regain that consistency

Ate myself up to 82kg over the course of last Christmas, which is about 3kg over what I would say is probably the upper end of an acceptable weight for me. Really fucking struggled to shed any of it, yo yo-ed between 79 and 84. Eating patterns were still relatively healthy, but I was drinking way too much (with the occasional loss of control over snacking that can result in).
Finally decided to properly commit before heading off on my summer holidays this year, figuring that two weeks in France was going to do nothing for any ambitions to be healthy, and it would be better to put the weight on from a position of relative health than not.
Quit drinking booze, kept the eating under control (roughly 1600 cals a day but not too militant on that, mostly hard on breakfast and lunch calories giving flexibility over dinner), no eating between 7:30pm and 7:30am. Got myself down to 77kg before going on holiday. Carrying on with this now, albeit it have added booze back in at the weekend if I feel like it. Still down at 77kg this morning.
Going to press on, reckon I can get down to 73 / 74kg by the time Christmas rolls around again. Hopefully won't lead to the same level of bloat as last year.

That’s great work and good that you have a system which works for you on a physical and practical level. It means that should you enjoy yourself a little and add some holiday weight or whatever you have a clear path to losing it. That I think is often half the battle - where to start and will it work.
I will jump on the scales tomorrow but I imagine I’ve added 3kg over the holiday just by roughly calculating calories!

Just chipping in. Reached 22 stone (I’m 6ft 3in) a few years ago thanks to corporate BS and bad choices.
My wife and I found out we were pregnant almost a year ago. First time being parents for both of us. So, this gave me the drive to get properly fit again.
I started weight training 5 months ago, 3 times a week, while being very selective with diet. So far I’ve lost 4 stone, put on muscle, and feel fitter and stronger than I have in decades. I have 1 stone left to lose to reach my fighting weight 😊

To work so far and good luck in the rest of your mission!
Good week for me, have begun to up the protein and start being a bit more organised about strength training, using ChatGPT to make up sessions according to what’s available in my work gym. Have also discovered skyr bowls (I know others even on here have been proponents for a long time…) which are honestly such a good hack, loads of protein/flavour for a surprisingly low calorie count…

You coming to London Joe?
I’ve been behaving, although plateaued a bit the last week due to a few too many “just one beer” days. Still making progress and am 14/5 this morning (91kg) down from 102kg starting point 8 weeks ago. Belt needs a new hole! Woot!
Keep up the good work fellas!

Not this year, Al, just looking in on the parentals this time.
Great progress, mate! I've just eaten five KFC chicken tenders at Dubai airport, not really the best keto option but it was the only one I had. Also... No alcohol free beer or decaf coffee in the whole place, bizarre.

First time in a few weekends I’ve not slipped on diet, apart from a small glass of whisky on Saturday night, 80.6kg this morning was the reward.
“The shirt” is imminently going to fit, then the focus shifts getting some abs.

• #823
I’m wearing the shirt to work!!!
Next target is 77.9kg which will be 10kg down… 1.4kg to go.

It was nothing special, just a shirt I bought in a 2for1 deal last year not realising it was the slim version when the one I tried on was a standard fit. It’s been annoying me all year hanging up in my cupboard too small for me…
Still ticking away here, weight is a bit static but had a big drop last Monday so guess that’s just normalising a bit, and maybe not been quite as rigorous as I could have been with food.
On the positives my waist has not gone from 38” down to 33” which is both good for clothes, looks and the single biggest reduction in ill health risk…
I’m not an imperialist…
