Floor pumps, I'd like a really good one. Gone cheap in the past and they've done the job but not well. Also one with a gauge that's actually accurate would be nice.

Decathlon ones are usually good, can replace head easily.

Madison have been trying to offload truflo stock for ages really cheaply, so someone is probably selling them on for not much more. The all chrome looking one is very good quality, especially the head, the green high pressure/volume one is plenty good for home use, I like mine.

Lidl/Aldi ones seem good.

Lezyne > Truflo for an oft-used home pump imo. Truflo feel too spongy, and their build tolerances aren’t as nice.

@Gewürzt Get a lezyne sport or classic, you won’t regret it, and you can rebuild it basically forever.

@Muc-ed-off, I've had a Lezyne mini pump in my tool roll for about a decade and I love the thing so not sure why I didn't think of them. Looks like I can pick the sport up for about 40 euros atm which seems good to me.

Yeah, they're better in general, but if the truflo ones are being sold at anywhere near what the b2b price came down to, you'd be getting a decent pump for way less than they're worth.

Hmm, classictrax are about £50, which they're worth easy but they were going for about £25 trade at one point.

I'm in frogland and they're around 50 euros with delivery. Just went for a Lezyne sport in snazy red for just under that.

I have a Genesis CdF 20 and want to buy new brake pads. I'd like all weather as commute year round but also want the quietest pads. What do you recommend please for the stock components:

Brakes TRP SPYRE-C mechanical disc
Brake levers Shimano Tiagra ST-4700 10spd

They use Shimano B0(xy) size pads and their many copies, pretty much the most common kind, Shimano's resin pads are cheap and pretty much the best, B05S are their most recent versions.

Kid has broken another school water bottle (a smash one that's sold as unbreakable with a warranty). They came up with the good suggestion of buying a metal one. That made me think of sigg. But they only seem to have screw cap, which isn't practical.

Anyone know of model with a child friendly spout? Alternatively anyone got any other good suggestions?

I'm also wondering if one of my old camel bidons might be more robust.

Having gone through countless designs we’ve arrived at this type that’s metal and has a hard plastic spout. Seems solid and the kids like them

We have a kleen canteen too, as it's got replaceable lids. Our son keeps chewing through them. The bottle is gaining a great patina! We're on lid three.

We've got a variety of 24 ones. They may dent a bit but still work fine after that. I've been using mine daily for 5 years and I know my nieces have had theirs for a good few years.

Think the kids ones have a flip spout or you can buy different lids on their own

They're 6yo so some of the more baby ones are out based on graphics and size. Leaning towards the stainless Kleen as they like silver and gold.

Feels like a lot for a kids water bottle, but at the current rate even if it drops to 1 bottle p/a it'd be an improvement.

After trying millions of different bottles and managing to break them all...the best and longest lasting ones are just cheap (ish) £5 run of the mill bidons.
