  • Yes, according ro the guy who fixed my Z4. His dad had several and they all died from it.

  • My similar-era E36 328i was mostly made of air towards the end.

  • What's the way to take your bike on a trip withone of these?

  • There's a Brompton in the (surprisingly reasonable, considering you're basically sitting in it) boot in that photo! Someone on the Z4 forum managed to get a cyclocross bike (size small, seat post removed) in there (and here's a post with a 58cm road bike), otherwise it's a seasucker on the roof.

  • What you want to see when your 24 year old car goes for MOT 😅 it’s only ever failed one (on a bulb!). 100k up soon for the 996, also having the switch installed for the switchable valvetronic exhaust while it’s in - always on LOUD at the mo which sounds epic in the right circumstances but other times borderline asbo…

  • Seasucker sounds like the way to go then. It's a lovely car to behold, but seems a tad impractical. If it takes a bike or two though and some luggage to boot, that's practical enough.

  • Nice for the seller to include a picture of the moment he realised he’s ruined the car.

  • Anyone got a decent body shop london, kent or essex they would recommend using?

  • Where did you go? My wife’s Seat could do with a once-over.

  • Mtech on the Ponswood Estate, trust me, they're brilliant!

  • What kind of work? Dent and scratches?

  • Might not be to your taste but that style is definitely back in, and looks at first glance to be a decent job of blending the kit in to make it smooth rather than just looking bolted on. Wider wheels to fill the arches better and a touch lower and it would work better. Looks like the Racing Beat type 2 front bumper and the matching skirts but blended in. Factory rear bumper lip option isn't part of the Racing Beat kit but looks better than the matching rear bumper so a better choice I think

  • I would drive that!

  • That ticks alot of boxes.

  • Ah nice yeah, I’ve not used them but heard good things.

  • Best spot in a while. RHD oval with semaphores, lowered with painted/polished Porsche Fuchs. This one had the mega spendy CSP Python exhaust so expect it to be running something punchy. Was perfecto.

  • That's very good.

  • Bet that shag pile is deep enough for two ;)

  • Turns out the VAG specialist place I used for the uber service can get my wheels refurbed for me. They'll also then fit new tyres (supplied by me from Black Circles) as part of the cost. So it's going in this morning and I've asked for a black powdercoat, this is the inspiration.

  • I don't love the color and the wheels are terrible but it's got potential...
Needs the smallest, deepest wheels that will fit with fat rubber and a race livery wrap and it would be sick.

  • This is mine currently

  • This is the perfect Beetle in my eyes. That spec with those wheels. Even the stance is low enough but drivable.
