Interesting episode with Mike Sinyard of Specialized including how the company was founded and early days. Relatively high-level with it only being 1hour long but interesting nonetheless.
https://open.spotify.com/episode/60mY5FE6dxM2G7IUUPbKva?si=359417d4832a4cc3FYI - It’s a bit American including super long ad breaks so be prepared to skip 5mins forwards at intervals.

I was listening to Stewart and Campbell interview David Davis on Spotify. Now I cannot find it.
Any ideas, keywords or links much appreciated.
Cheers

In my never ending quest to wallow in nostalgia I've been relistening to old Adam & Joe whilst working from home. And it's been ace kudos to whoever collected all these.

NYT archive is going to be locked down to subscribers soon.
Eg anything from Ezra Klein you haven't got round to yet.

You can get a year's subscription to NYT for £20 which is decent value, particularly if you have any interest in sport (it includes an Athletic subscription) or US politics.

Ha, saw this thread and this came to mind straight away. Only found it recently but have almost listened to them all. Proper refreshing tbh.

Graces Campbells podcast is well worth listening to. It might not be super intellectual but it’s genuinely good listening

Thank you for that very rare thing: a postcast recommendation that didn't make me listen to a steaming pile of shite. Mr. Boyle is always worth a listen.
The few podcasts I listen to are mostly history or politics/current affairs, but even there so much of it is self-regarding wank. The range can be:
- The Rest is History - consistently good and often excellent.
- The Rest is Politics - usually interesting, at least, sometimes very insightful. Rory needs to man up, though, because Alastair has him under his thumb.
- Behind the Bastards - maybe one in 20 is really interesting and the subject matches their style, the rest is hours of the main guy just telling you how much he hates somebody without anything interesting to say about them. The ones on RFK jr really worked, for example, but most don't. He even makes some of the L. Ron Hubbard ones just him ranting with nothing material to rant about; an achievement of a kind, I suppose, but I want those hours back.
- You're Dead to Me - fuck the fuck off, you time-wasting numpties. You are not more interesting than the subject matter, I am not allergic to information, you do not have to sugar coat one minute of actual content in 29 minutes of ignorant banter in case I run away screaming.
The hunt continues.
- The Rest is History - consistently good and often excellent.

Thanks for this, really enjoyed it

It's great, very dark, very on the money politically, very funny. Even the bit about lycra adorned cycle cunts.

Bobbins as in shite ?
I don't mind the uncanny ones some good ghost stories in there. The analysis isn't the best but the stories are good fun -

Bobbins as in shite ?
I can't remember where on social media I saw that description, but it was said with some affection, so not so much "shite" as "overly credulous treatment of some things that merit a more critical eye".
Always find this guy's guests and conversations facilitating, but this episode really nails what we're facing for a livable future.
