Once he's hit hard he loses shape and his defensive instincts desert him - he doesn't grab and hold, he doesn't cover up properly, he's just there to be hit again. It's different to not being able to take a punch, Bruno was the same - they have the same body type.

Spot on, Mark. I’ve often thought of AJ as a modern day Bruno. In more ways than one.
He needs to have another one or two fights, finish on a high (I doubt a belt, but a decent win would be good) and retire. Before it goes any more pear-shaped, which it will for him.
