To be political, the only people that have done anything to help aren't trump/republicans. The democrats are at least trying with money.

There were lots of wild anti federal government conspiracies floating around in the aftermath of Helene, I didn't take any notice of any of them because crazy Muricans. Reed Timmer's Helene video showed the desperate situation in North Carolina and he said he didn't spot a single FEMA truck in the way down there. Not great prep for Milton and it looks like there are a couple more storms lining up to hit after this one.

Heard some of them interviewed on the radio - 'The government ain't done nothing for us, we don't trust what the government tells us, we're not going to listen to them, we're staying where we are'. I'm sure it'll be a tragedy if some of these guys don't make it, but it's an ill wind...
