I assume theoretically like one of these but the saddle to bar drop is a bit crazy

This sort of lopro I’m aware of but the fork in the link has bars so far down.

Where have we been?

In the request queue behind a massive DDoS attack, presumably

Next question. I asked in the tennis thread, but has anyone ever been to the French Open? If so how hard is it to get decent tickets?
Cheers

Not much on the glasses thread so asking here:
Any recommendations for an online place with reasonably priced frames and not too expensive lens packages (I need ultra thin ones for my prescription)?
Place I've used in the past doesn't have anything I like this time.

I've been using Selectspecs for at least a decade with no problems.

Are Ace & Tate or Cubitts any good to you?
-
• #123892
Good for me too

Cheers all. Ace&Tate and Cubitts look out of budget with ultra thin lenses but the others look like possibles.

can anyone help with this?
a notice of criminal charge has just arrived in the post - for my 20 year old son, relating to some climate change activism he took part in in 2023.
the offences are "interference with use / operation of key national infrastructure" x2 on the same date and place - ie being on a slow march.
my kid is trans and partly because of that and partly for other obvious reasons, I don't want him to end up in jail.
should i get a lawyer? i'm wondering if the best option is to plead guilty and maybe it'll just be a fine?
i'm worried cos putting climate change protesters in jail seems to be all the rage right now.

Crikey. I have no direct experience but I know that Bindmans specialise in protester cases. https://www.bindmans.com/legal-services/specialist-service/right-to-protest/ Quite a few other firms also have protest rights specialists. Best of luck to your son.

thank you - i appreciate you message. i'll look into that firm.

Green and Black Cross might be able to help. They're an organisation that runs specifically to help people with legal issues as a result of protest and other direct action. They should be able to give advice and point you in the direction of a lawyer with experience of similar cases. Definitely don't plead guilty until you've had legal advice!

thanks - noted. we won't rush into anything!
edit - court date is november so we have a bit of time.

No worries. Good luck, hope your son isn't too shaken up. It must be scary stuff!

If he's one of a group charged with the same offence there may be scope to share a solicitor and reduce costs.
omg thanks!
