Just got tickets for the Lanegan tribute at the Roundhouse with Greg Dulli, Chrissie Hynde, Josh Homme, Soulsavers etc.

Was on two devices at 10am, got through on one, on the other they had sold out by 10.01.

Due to an administrative error I have a ticket for Ride at Hackney Church this coming Sat 12th.

It’s part of the Sonic Cathedral 20th birthday events, and Ride are playing the whole of their Reading ‘94 set, supported by bdrmm and Pye Corner Audio, both SC stalwarts.

Ticket is on Dice so can easily send across.

I owned their records from 30 years ago so the "support" ship has sailed. I just wanted to see as many bands as I listened to in my childhood as possible before they're all dead. Fair. I still listen to some of their tunes to this day but then I was into death metal for a while and can't stand it now.

Seeing Kabaka Pyramid in Bristol tomorrow, he was great last time I saw him. Really looking forward to it.

Unfortunately, I've zero tolerance for racists, rapists and the like. Pantera, Clapton, The Smiths, Red House Painters, Ryan Adams, Michael Jackson, Foo Fighters, Burzum etc are all off the artistic register for life. There's enough good bands to listen to without giving money to cunts I wouldn't break bread with, no matter what's in their back catalogue.

i went to see Ryan Adams on Sunday. I'm not actually a huge RA fan but I have a couple of his records. he was very good, if a bit weird, and played for nearly 4 hours.

so a couple of people have accused him of some stuff, and i would think on the balance of probability he's probably done some not great stuff. but as far as i'm aware, he isn't a rapist, hasn't been convicted of anything, and still has a right to ply his trade as a musician.

if we only accept artistic input from 100% verified "nice people", there's going to be a huge amount of art on the bonfire.

edit - if other people don't want to go see him, that 100% fine too. just saying - there were plenty of women in the audience including my wife.

There’s a band called Phoxjaw I really like, but about 18 months ago someone alleged some form of abuse or assault against the vocalist, and they were pulled from a US tour and a UK festival slot. He volunteered himself at his local police station, investigations were done, no charges were ever bought and it all went quiet, but Phoxjaw still seem to be on naughty step.
