tried the B&M one, was dogshit and double the price of hafny
hafny has been excellent, 2nd contender is the 900 series bar end mirror from decathlon
-
• #14579
Hafny has worked well for us to, stable on the bars, nice clear view.

mirror on ebike is essential
How so?
-
• #14581
It allows you to focus on escape routes though the traffic while checking if the person who've phone you've just snatched is gaining on you.
-
• #14582
spoiler alert, its not! but if you want one go ahead ;-)

this

Tried one, I am too wide to see past, binned it.

Mirrors ruin flow and oneness with the traffic.

Guy I bought my Big Fat Dummy from had just done the Badger Divide with his girlfriend riding passenger on the back. If you want to carry a person / persons bigger than children then you're fucked if the rails are integrated. Once my kids get big enough for me to trust that they won't just get distracted and fall the fuck off then I will ditch the rails too.

Thank f. I was worried of receiving an overwhelmingly positive consensus and would feel the need to conform and fix one onto the beautiful cargo bike

I have a Varia mounted on the cargo area, right on the edge. This makes sure cars can see how wide the bike is, and I see it start flashing when something is approaching. I live in countryside now though so a mirror would be better for a city.

aren't you talking about the extra guard rails though?
Like on this pic where did his GF sit?
-
• #14591
Im guessing she engages her thigh muscles and hovers…

lol DUH sorry. Those bits seem so integral that it didn’t even occur to me that’s what you were talking about. Yeah, totally with you now.

These look great: https://www.gouach.com/
Repairable, replaceable, universal batteries.

• #14594
I was instantly out of my depth.

I was following these for a while, but disappointed that they’ve just started advertising they’re beginning an influencer marketing campaign (with a 10% cut of sales).
Makes me question any future reviews of the product - especially considering a big focus is battery safety.
-
• #14596
Was on the "VIP" list, very tempted to buy one.. but they're only designed to have enough cells for 10aH.
-
• #14597
Are they bosch/steps compatible?
-
• #14598
As I understand yes - you tell them which you’d like it programmed as when ordering.
-
• #14599
I see it is implied but is not in option in the builder tool or in the indigogo. Seems a bit strange

I didn’t realise it was possible to reverse engineer the protocol for Bosch/Shimano and am surprised there haven’t been other third party batteries until now.
Alright, I'm sold. Surprisingly inexpensive as well.
