Any suggestions for a supplier for stripwood and mouldings in South East London / Kent? Champion Timber as recommended a few posts up don't seem to have the size I need.

I don't think this shape exists premade so I'll need to glue together a rectangle section (28mm x 9mm) and a half dowel (20mm x 10mm).

I feel like I should use hardwood (sapele?) for durability but I'd probably settle for pine if it was significantly more convenient to source.

I had to source a similar P shaped profile to remake the skirting for here (added on top of 1x6 pine boards). I got it from B&Q of all places. Might be smaller than what you have but worth a wander round if there's one close. Or Wickes. It will be softwood though.

thanks, I'll scoot over to both of those an see what they have.

The tail of the P needs to match the existing as it plugs in to a slot in the frame - the round section isn't so critical.
