Time to bitch about it online and buy a new trainer

I've fucked myself up enough times to be wise to this. I'll just smash the pack of oxy they gave me, inject half a bag of caffeine into my vein. That should fix the numbers.

Thanks, they are very comfy, yet in a far less noticeable way compared to telescopic posts, which I never really got on with, as I'm really fussy about saddle height
Yeah, I noticed with the telescopic one that I needed to set it a bit higher so that I was at the correct height once the sag kicked in. With the Thudbuster I just set the saddle height the same as it was with the rigid post and that's been fine.
Thudbuster with telescopic dropper shaft would pretty sweet!

The most high maintenance seatpost ever

Riding slowly around Epping today, I kept wondering if I'd prefer to refit the dropper or get a sus post
I know there's the PNW sus dropper, but telescopic posts aren't great

I’ve stuck the Trans X sus dropper back on the Spa and I think I’m actually preferring it to the Thudbuster.
It’s so much more obviously ‘active’ (which odd why some people dislike them) and while the small amount of drop isn’t great it is nice to just pop it even that little bit out the way sometimes.
I was going to try a longer drop non sus 27.2mm post but when I put it in the frame i realised that the skinny top section looked real strange next to the oversized tubes and larger tires etc.

The dropper won out in the end :-)
Tbf, my only experience of telescopic seatposts was a couple of early Post Moderne ones, which were not great. Never tried a decent one like a USE

I'm kinda tempted by both options.
I rode a G4 on the 400k this weekend (road) and it worked ok though my arse is still shredded thanks to trying out a new Ergon and adjusting it 100x.
Tempted by the dropper/susser combo too though I really want a lighter eeSilk for the Crux. Fucksake, too many posts.

Oh dear not what I wanted to hear as just bought an silk+ and ergon saddle for my old man gooch. Hope your shredding unshreds . Any tips on this combo in all your 100s if adjustments?
Well done on an October 400! -

I don't think it's the Ergon's fault, I rode ~430km, having only done 2x100km rides on it since June when I busted my collarbone. The position was being adjusted through the whole ride. I ended up dropping the saddle a bit after raising it (probably too far) and eventually angled it nose down a little as well as pushing it forward. But all this was from an arbitrary starting point anyway, not a proper fit or anything.
I probably needed more miles to toughen up my arse before doing a 400k. 600k this weekend and I think I'll try and even newer bike and saddle combo for the LOLs. Because you're not really alive if you're not in pain.
I used mine today. First time in about a month. I think it's broken... the HR value is far too high and the Watts are far too low...
