I was about to say you do need a mirror on one of these, it just fits the aesthethetics. Sandals are also mandatory.

A wooden deck would look great

Can't you just make the front seat into a sun lounger for a guest

Here is my 2016 Big Dummy, verrryy different to more modern cargo bikes but charming in its own way. It was a FB Marketplace purchase two years ago from Janet in Ludlow for about £1,100. She’d used it once for grocery shopping but that was about it. I spent an obscene £450 on the cable actuated “Rolling Jackass” kickstand but just too risky to carry live cargo without it. A really cool touch is the VO canti rack which fits on the redundant brake bosses and fork crown hole. Maxxed out Alakazam with swimming kit! I keep meaning to switch the stock chainset to a wide-range friction double but it’s fine really, as are the BB7s. Will move this on in a couple of years when the youngest outgrows it, it’ll be a relic by then!

That is the current thinking, also can convert between cargo and people carrying easily. The omnium mod is kinda all in.

Birkenstocks all day, bought some winter ones for this year.

Something I've wondered about the big dummy, is why the upper rails are separate addons?
I've never seen a pic of them not being used

Related to xtracycle in concept? I think some of the accessories compatible.

..you mean these?

You mean like this?

No they make like proper shoes as well

Brilliant!

Pretty much. Other than being rad, what do you do with it in this layout?
Good effort. I can see why you decided not to bunny hop onto that.

xtracycle
Yeah. Maybe it's just that simple. xtracycle was on of the first popular ones with accessories, so makes sense to leverage that platform.
I guess I wondered if there were alternate structures that get put on the back.

Sadly that's not me, just something I stumbled across on Flickr at some point. A friend did race Hit the North on their big dummy in a similar setup but I couldn't find that photo.
Not sure what you'd do other than wind people up either by strapping waxed canvas bags on it and claiming it was a Rivendell prototype, or by putting bikepacking bags on and pretending it was a midtail tour divide racing thing.

Is there a readily available QR lever for this type of seatpost clamp? (I:SY mini cargo).
I’d rather not have to import one from the manufacturer in Germany cos ££££

Is it s 31.6 seatpost? IF so you can get something like this and put a quick release between the 2 sections
-
• #14569
It is 31.6 yeah! Although I was more looking for a standard quick release lever like this- I just wasn't sure if it required something special because of the recessed bolt and seatube sleeve

Yes i know, but with that pinch bolt setup it may be a bit fiddley to get it to work properly
