hard to explain but in my experience the gp5k is a pretty rigid tyre, all around it just feels quite sturdy and bulletproof. The knockoff felt far softer and even the wire bead didn't feel as strong as the original. sorry, it's not really a great explanation but i think the point is if you've tried some gp5k before, and these not feel quite right then they're probably not real.
