We got a note through the door of my Mother-in-Laws house within days of her passing away asking if we were selling the house.
Since then we have had multiple “so sorry to hear about Jenny, what are you doing about her house” conversations. Some with added “it must be a bit run down, you’ll be wanting to shift it quickly” avarice.

I hate the person in my home village who dropped a note through my mums door asking if she was interested in a council house swap of their 2 bed for the 3 bed which has been our family home for 40+years.
No problem with making an enquiry but we haven’t event got my late father’s casket of ashes back yet. FFS!

(FWIW She will likely do a swap but in her own time when she is ready and for one of the bungalows in the village)
