I went swimming on Saturday. There were a load of people that were swimming who were putting on shoe covers in the entrance to the changing room. I hate it.
Spectators aren't allowed poolside. There is a separate spectator area which has access elsewhere.
The shoe covers are reasonable for parents of young children having lessons but nobody else should be using them.

I don’t understand what this is supposed to mean?
Shoe covers (I agree wasteful) are not for swimmers but for spectators on poolside who don’t want to take their shoes and socks off.
