About what I’ve been trying to sell mine for FFS.

They are genuinely one of the best straight-ahead divers Seiko make right now. The white dial and black hands and the slightly domed sapphire are way nicer than they look in pics.

The bracelet doesn’t look right to me. Not enough taper. Also not solid gold, looks two tone (part steel part gold). The watch itself is certainly a Datejust type of design though, so could be.

This fella should be worried about losing his winter golf-club allowance

@regal have you seen an SRPL09 in person yet! Any thoughts if so? I can’t find one in person but the size looks on the money versus the first style60s variant. And the brownish dial is a hit of me.

I have not! It’s an interesting one because Seiko don’t do that all that often, ie make basically the same style of watch but only ~1mm smaller. I wonder how much difference it makes. It might well be on the money, as you say. Though I prefer the framed date at three on the older models.

I did check out the GMTs last time I was there, and they’re nice, but it’s definitely a relatively busy design for a GMT. The watch that surprised me the most is the new SNXS-style Seiko 5s. I really like the “beige” sunray one with the black date and orange seconds hand, in the future when I can justify it and there’s a good discount on one I can see myself picking one up.
