I didn't know that was by Michael Mann.

Surprise to me, too. It was nearly Highlander 3 levels of bad, with the same feeling that they'd taken the trailer from another film (Highlander, in the case of Highlander 3) and padded it with scraps from the cutting room floor.

You mention highlander (great movie) french Scotsman and Scot Egyptian? Yet don't mention the second film.

Or do you not see 2 as linked to the Highlander franchise

Highlander 2 was deeply eccentric, but my point is that 3 had about as much content (and almost identical content) as the trailer for the first film, stretched out over a whole film.
